It's a Red Out for Park Rapids Area School District!
Our Park Rapids Area School District is preparing to participate in the 2nd annual Red Out Event on Friday, March 1. We are proud to partner with the American Heart Association and do our part to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Red Out gear will be sold in both schools throughout the week. On Friday, students and staff of Park Rapids Area School District are invited to participate in our 2nd annual Red Out event. This Red Out will take place to bring awareness to Heart Disease. During school and even during the boys basketball game that night we will honor and remember loved ones by wearing red. Teams, Students and community members are encouraged to purchase "Go Red" items and wear them to work and school that Friday.
Cardiovascular disease kills more people in the U.S. than the next five leading causes of death combined ... including cancer. This Red Out is a great way to celebrate life of family and friends we have lost to this devastating disease while making a difference by helping to save others. They will also be for sale at the basketball game Friday night. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1. You could win a chance to shoot some Free Throws during half-time. If you make a shot, you win a T-shirt! All donations and proceeds from this event will go to the Midwest American Heart Association.
If you would like more information on how you can get involved or make a donation contact Aarin Galzki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
