Panther Post: High school BPA students participate in Regions
The Park Rapids Area High School Business Professionals of America travel to M State in Detroit Lakes today (Wednesday), Jan. 25 for the Region 6 competition. Students will join about 135 other business students from the northwest region of the state vying for a chance to compete at the state level.
Members and the areas they are competing in are: Jordan Bergquist, Extemporaneous and Prepared Speech; Johnny Bravo, Keyboarding and Banking and Finance; Cody Brumbaugh, Fundamental Accounting and Web Design Team; Ryan DeLaHunt, Economic Research and Web Design Team; Brad Eischens, Graphic Design Promotion and Web Design Team; Summer Ellefson, Keyboarding and Medical Office Procedures; Melodie Englund, Fundamentals of Web Design and Advanced Interview Skills; Greta Hanson, Fundamental Spreadsheet and Basic Office Systems; Zach Jewison, Computerized Accounting and Web Design Team; Josh Johnson, Extemporaneous and Prepared Speech; Courtney Pilkey, Fundamental Word Processing and Medical Office Procedures; Paul Prenevost, Keyboarding and Fundamental Spreadsheet; Katy Spears, Fundamental Word Processing and Banking and Finance; Megan Sullivan, Legal Office Procedures and Administrative Support Research; Jon Weiderin, Banking and Finance and Fundamental Word Processing.
Qualifiers for state will be the top five in individual events, the top three in individual judged events, and the top two in team events. Many of the students have a very good chance to qualify for state. They have been working hard on their preparation and looking forward to competition.
