Update: Missing 5-year-old from fatal Bemidji fire found alive

Orton plans to open station at the former SuperAmerica

Orton Oil Company has purchased the former SuperAmerica station on Highway 34, with plans to reopen by Wednesday, March 10.

The Orton brand station will offer a pay at the pump option and E85, according to Tim Orton. A digital price sign will also be installed.

The station's interior will undergo some cosmetic upgrades and plans call for a larger deli, Orton said. The station will employ 10.

A grand opening is on the agenda for mid-April or early May.

"We're looking forward to this," Orton said. "It's a good location. We're happy to be there."

Orton Oil Company has 15 stations in area communities including Menahga, Wadena, Motley, Staples, Bemidji, Bagley and others. This is the second Park Rapids station.
