One of the new Ely bear cubs is a screamer
If you're wondering whether that Ely research bear Jewel had two cubs or three, the answer seems to be two. But the two make more than enough ruckus for one mother bear, according to North American Bear Center researchers Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield.
"We're seeing more of the cubs and Jewel's interaction with them than we expected this soon after the births," the researchers wrote in Tuesday's update. "The cubs' strength and agility at this early age is impressive as they climb up Jewel's fur."
Worse yet, they say, one of them seems to be a "screamer," and we can attest to that after checking out the YouTube video they posted Tuesday.
