One dead in wrong way crash near Walker

A car heading the wrong way on Highway 34 near Walker collided head-on with a semitrailer truck, killing the smaller vehicle's lone occupant, authorities said.


The crash happened about 4:35 p.m. Sunday, according to the State Patrol.

The car was heading east in the westbound lane, when it struck the westbound truck, the patrol said. The identity of the car's driver has yet to be released.

The semi's two occupants were unhurt.
