Neither team scored in the second period as the Panthers held a 16-6 edge in shots.

A power-play goal by Connor Chambers at the 11:05 mark was followed by a goal by Dillon Johnson at the 11:38 mark as Northern Lakes claimed a 3-1 lead.

Coborn set up Luke Jaeger to pull the Panthers to within 3-2 at the 14:55 mark. But Northern Lakes goalie Joey Bergquist, who finished with 40 saves, preserved the win.
