North Grand Forks Hugo's evacuated Monday night after bomb threat

Authorities evacuated the Hugo’s grocery store at 1925 13th Ave. N. at about 10:30 Monday night after a bomb threat had been called in to the store.

Grand Forks Police Department officers blocked off 20th Street between 12th Avenue North and Gateway Drive. Parts of 13th Avenue North also were blocked off.

According to police, an employee at the store's customer service desk answered a phone just before 10:30 p.m. The caller, with a male voice, said there was a bomb in the building.

The building was searched and nothing suspicious was located inside.

The incident remains under investigation and if anybody has information regarding it they are asked to contact the Grand Forks Police Department at 701) 787-8000

The Grand Forks Fire Department also responded to the call.
