Nevis will add security cameras to municipal liquor
By Sarah Smith
The city of Nevis has a new attorney.
The city council voted to approve Steve Peloquin of Peloquin Law Office to replace John Masog.
In other business, the city:
* Approved adding extra security cameras to the municipal liquor store exterior and one to the interior at a cost of $2,350. That will make four security cameras dedicated to the outdoors and increase the resolution of the interior cameras.
* Approved a Lions Club project to place a “Little Free Library” downtown. Little Free Libraries are an honor system borrowing and donation library that people can borrow books from and donate to.
* Decided to place extra patrols in designated areas including the cemetery on County Road 18.
