A Nevis schoolchild was taken by ambulance to a Park Rapids hospital Wednesday afternoon after falling from some playground equipment on school grounds.

"The injury didn't appear to be serious but we called the ambulance as a precautionary measure," said Nevis Supt. Steven Rassier.

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m.

The girl was taken to St. Joseph's Area Health Services after complaining of back pain.
