Neva Brown Corrington, 90, of Nevis, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at St. Joseph's Area Health Services in Park Rapids.

Neva Corren Brown was born on June 26, 1923 at Hanley Falls, the daughter of Harry and Christina (Conrad) Brown. She grew up and attended school at Cottonwood, where she graduated in 1941. She was married to Roger Arlin Keepers, Sr. on Nov. 21, 1942 in Sleepy Eye. They lived in Minneapolis until 1953 when they moved to Des Moines, Iowa. They raised their three children in Des Moines, and she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa. She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Following her retirement in 1984 she permanently moved to her summer cabin on Lake Belle Taine. She was married to Loren E. Corrington on May 9, 1987 at Crow Wing.

Neva enjoyed im-mensely living in Nevis and especially on Lake Belle Taine. She and Loren traveled west every winter, and she was an avid reader. She relished entertaining her family during holidays and special occasions. She was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and its Esther Circle. She was also a member of PEO in Des Moines and Park Rapids. Her husband Loren died in Jan of 2006.

She is survived by her daughter Jackie (Randy) Williams of Urbandale, Iowa; her two sons, Roger "Buzz" (Elaine Wood) Keepers, Jr. of Chadron, Neb. and Craig (Jennie) Keepers of Eden Prairie; six grandchildren and five great-grandsons; three stepchildren, Kaye (Paul) Halvorson of Bluffton, S.C., Kirby (Maria) Corrington of Las Vegas, Nev. and Kim (David) Means of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two sisters, LaVonne "Vonne" Christensen of Fridley and Nancy Schlenker of Cam-bridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service: 1 p.m. today (Saturday), March 8 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Nevis. Pastor Darrell Morton will be the officiant.

Visitation: will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Neva's family sug-gests memorials may be given to the Bethany Lutheran Church of Nevis in Lieu of flowers. Arrangements are being handled by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids and Nevis.
