Natural Resources Conservation Service offers public outreach Dec. 28
NRCS services and programs in Hubbard, Cass and Beltrami County will be hosting a public outreach, remote office day on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Helga Township Community Center on County Road 9.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service offers technical assistance for grazing, cropland, wildlife, and forestry needs. NRCS will develop a conservation plan with the participant to help them meet their land management goals and to address resource concerns.
To aid with the financial burden of the installation of conservation practices, the NRCS administers Financial Assistance Programs authorized through the current Farm Bill. Some of the programs are Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP), and Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP). These programs can be utilized to implement your conservation plan.
Potential eligible projects include grazing systems with interior fencing, pipeline, and troughs, tree planting to reforest open areas and pollinator plantings to enhance wildlife and pollinator species to name a few.
More information about NRCS programs can be found at: www.mn.nrcs.usda.gov/.
Stop by from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to speak to a NRCS representative.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information (Braille, large print, audiotape, etc.) should contact USDA's TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600 (voice and TDD)."
If special accommodations are needed, please contact Hubbard NRCS at 732-9723, Ext. 3 by Dec. 23.
