Lauren Naeve's power-play goal with 2:28 to play lifted the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls hockey team to a 3-2 win over Detroit Lakes on Nov. 29 at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.

Detroit Lakes jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind Brianna Seebold's power-play goal in the first period and Callie Johnson's goal early in the second period.

The Panthers tied the game when Naeve assisted on a goal by Jessica Gapinski with 13:18 to play in the second period and Kendra Dresow scored an unassisted goal with 8:49 to play in the second period.

Gapinski assisted on Naeve's game-winner as the Panthers prevailed in this Mid-State Conference game.

Park Rapids goalie Shania Johnson finished with 33 saves as the Lakers held a 35-26 advantage in shots. The loss dropped Detroit Lakes' record to 3-3.

Eades' hat trick leads EGF

Erica Eades tallied a natural hat trick in leading East Grand Forks to a 5-0 win over the Panthers last Saturday afternoon at East Grand Forks.

Eades scored twice in the first period and tallied again early in the second period to give EGF a 3-0 lead. Eades assisted on a goal by Riley Koberinski before Haley Mack concluded the scoring in the third period as EGF improved to 4-3.

The Green Wave held a 45-14 advantage in shots on goal. Johnson made 32 saves while Bailey Moore finished with eight saves for the Panthers, who fell to 4-4 on the season.
