Motorcyclist identified in Saturday fatal crash
Authorities have identified the victim who was killed in a Saturday evening crash near Pine River.
Judy Hubers, 59, of Oak Grove, Minn., died in a head-on crash involving the motorcycle upon which she was a passenger, according to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Brainerd.
Her husband, John C. Hubers, 51, of Oak Grove, Minn., had been driving the motorcycle when it crashed head-on with a 2003 Honda Civic on state Highway 371 at 6:05 p.m. south of Pine River at Wilson's Junction, the State Patrol said.
John Hubers was listed in critical condition at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn., the State Patrol said. He suffered from multiple extremity fractures, deep lacerations on his face and possible internal injuries.
Christina J. Laine, 22, of Pine River, the driver of the 2003 Honda Civic, suffered from some bruising from her seat belt and was treated and released at St. Joseph Hospital in Brainerd,
Laine's passenger, Dylan A. Laine, 25, of Pine River had no apparent injuries, the State Patrol said
