Motorcyclist dies in Polk County crash

LENGBY, Minn. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Department said a rural Erskine, Minn., man was killed when his Harley-Davidson left the roadway and rolled multiple times, ejecting its passenger.

Eric Erickson, 47, was riding his 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Polk County Road 4 south of Lengby Saturday when the motorcycle went off the east side of the road and rolled multiple times into the ditch.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said their department and Essentia Hospital were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

Erickson sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Department said the crash remains under investigation.
