Moorhead gets 117 applications for city clerk job
Kaye Buchholz, Moorhead's long-time city clerk, is retiring and a lot of people would like to have her job.
The city received 117 applications for the post by the time the deadline arrived more than a week ago. The position will become vacant when Buchholz leaves in October.
Moorhead City Manager Michael Redlinger, who will hire Buchholz's replacement, said the number of applications from across the country is likely a reflection of the tough economic times.
