Moondance Jammin Country Fest ready to roll
Country music will come alive in northern Minnesota Thursday through Saturday at the Moondance Concert grounds near Walker for the third annual Moondance Jammin Country Fest.
Tickets and camping are still available for country fans to see Kenny Rogers, Jason Aldean, Montgomery Gentry, Phil Vaasar, Little Big Town, Rodney Atkins, Jason Michael Carrol and many more. Rogers, Aldean and Montgomery Gentry will headline on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Kenny Rogers is a country music icon. During his 50-year career Rogers has won three Grammy Awards, posted at least 70 hit singles across various music genres and topped the country and pop album charts for more than 420 individual weeks in the United States, alone. Just look at the titles: "Lady," "Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town," "The Gambler."
Jason Aldean broke into country music in 2005 with the hit "Hicktown," he has been at the top of the country music charts. Aldean's third album, "Wide Open," debuted at No. 2 with the help of his second No. 1 single, "She's Country."
Montgomery Gentry have been mainstays in country music scene for the last 10 years. The duo has released more than 20 charted singles, with anthems like "My Town" and "Hell, Yeah" becoming indelible parts of the honky-tonk landscape. They have hit the top of the singles charts five times.
New this year is the two-day weekend pass, which gets concert-goers in for Friday and Saturday's Jammin Country Fest for $119, or $159 with camping in the general camping grounds. Three-day general admission tickets are $150 and single day tickets are $80. VIP and Rockstar All Access tickets are in limited supply. Three-day VIP tickets are $375, single-day VIP tickets are $225 and Rockstar All Access tickets are $920.
Numerous camping options are available and three-night campers are invited to come a day early for $20 to take part in the Pre Jammin Country Party featuring Boss Grant as Johnny Cash and The Roosters. Call or check out the www.jammincountry.com for camping fees and options.
Onsite parking is available at the entrance. Free Parking and Moondance Shuttle service is also available at Northern Lights Casino, 2.5 miles west of Moondance.
Jammin Country Fest has festival seating again for general admission.
