Minnkota offers reward for info on Grand Forks stabbing of its employee
Minnkota Power and its employees are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglar who allegedly stabbed Tom Schirrick, a Minnkota employee, in his home Thursday morning.
Police said Schirrick was stabbed in the chest during a struggle with the burglar. He was listed in serious condition Thursday afternoon at Altru Hospital. Altru did not release any further information Friday.
Police released a sketch of the suspect Friday. He is described as a white male, about 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches, 230 to 240 pounds with brown hair and facial stubble and wearing a black sleeveless shirt and dark pants. Police said he many have had some type of black cloth or tape wrapped around one of his hands.
