Minneapolis woman dies after car crash in Norman County
A 33-year-old Minneapolis woman died at Fargo's MeritCare Hospital from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash in Norman County, Minn., the sheriff's office reported Monday.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Norman County Highway 19 and 120th Street in Halstad Township, a news release from Sheriff Myron Thronson said.
No time was given for the crash.
According to the release, a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville driven by the woman was traveling east on Highway 19 when it collided with a 2005 Ford pickup traveling south on 120th Street.
A 68-year-old Halstad, Minn., man, was taken to Hillsboro (N.D.) Medical Center by Norman County Ambulance. He was not named and his injuries were not known, the release said.
The woman was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to MeritCare with unknown injuries. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital from the injuries suffered in the crash, the release said.
Her name was being withheld pending notification of relatives, the release said.
Sheriff's dispatchers said Monday night that no further information would be available until today.
