Michigan mayor donates to Dorset mayor’s re-election campaign
A Michigan mayor has endorsed Dorset’s Robert Tufts for mayor at this year’s Taste of Dorset election.
Robert is no ordinary mayor. The 4-year-old from Nevis was “elected” mayor at last year’s Taste of Dorset festival. Each year, anyone can pay $1 to put their name in a hat for a chance to have the title and key to the city for a year. Last August, Robert was the lucky winner. This year’s election is Aug. 4.
Robert became a celebrity of sorts after a video with him at the Governor’s Fishing Opener went viral in May. Since then, he has been featured on several television news broadcasts across the country.
