Meyer allowed four hits and struck out five as the Braves won the first game 9-0. Lusti followed with a one-hitter while tallying 11 strikeouts as Menahga completed the sweep with a 10-0 win in five innings.

In the opener, Menahga took a 2-0 lead in the first on singles by Al Pietila and Kyle Skoog and Ray Mueller’s two-run single. After Skoog scored on Lusti’s RBI double in the third for a 3-0 lead, Anders Tolkkinen singled and scored on Darien Mickelson’s run-scoring grounder in the fourth for a 4-0 lead. A five-run sixth sealed the victory. Isaac Anderson, Tolkkinen and Mickelson started the inning with walks before a grounder by Pietila, a two-run double by Skoog, an RBI single by Levi Schwartz and an RBI double by Mueller concluded the scoring.

A five-run first inning sparked the Braves to the win in the second game. Pietila and Schwartz walked, Mueller singled, Lusti hit a two-run double, Mickelson had an RBI single, and Anderson and Meyer followed with RBI singles for a quick 5-0 lead. Singles by Meyer and Tolkkinen set up a sacrifice fly by Skoog, an RBI double by Schwartz and an RBI single by Mueller during a three-run fourth inning. Menahga ended the game via the 10-run rule in the fifth when Anderson singled, Meyer doubled, Tolkkinen lofted a sacrifice fly and Meyer scored on a wild pitch.

The sweep snapped a seven-game losing streak and lifted Menahga to 2-5 in the conference and 4-7 overall. Parkers Prairie fell to 1-5 in the conference and 2-6 overall.

Skoog took the loss in Menahga’s 4-0 loss to Nevis last Monday. Skoog allowed four unearned runs on four hits and six walks with seven strikeouts over seven innings. Skoog had two hits while Pietila and Mueller each had one hit.
