Menahga boys win three games at home

Home wins over Pine River-Backus, Sebeka and Wadena-Deer Creek moved the Menahga boys basketball team four games over the .500 mark.

The Braves extended their winning streak to four games in a row and improved to 10-6 on the season with a 65-49 win over PR-B on Jan. 31, a 64-54 win over Sebeka last Friday night and a 79-54 win over Wadena-Deer Creek Tuesday night.

Schwartz scores 35 in PR-B win

Tanner Schwartz scored 35 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had eight steals in leading the Braves past PR-B.

Austen Schwartz had six assists while Levi Schwartz and Stetson Burkman grabbed six rebounds apiece for the Braves.

Beau Howard scored 21 points for the Tigers, who fell to 1-18 with their 16th loss in a row.

Lusti sparks Braves past Sebeka

Tanner Schwartz had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds while Bob Lusti hit four 3-pointers and scored 12 points to pace the Braves to a conference win over Sebeka.

Levi Schwartz added six rebounds and Lusti had three steals as the Braves improved to 5-2 in the conference. Sebeka fell to 1-8 in conference play and 1-17 overall.

Braves run past W-DC
