Menahga boys open section tournament with 62-50 victory over Sebeka

Tanner Schwartz and Levi Schwartz tallied double-doubles as the Menahga boys basketball team opened the Section 5A playoffs with a 62-50 win over Sebeka Monday night at Menahga.

Menahga, the No. 7 seed in the West, advanced behind Tanner Schwartz’s 19 points and 11 rebounds and Levi Schwartz’s 12 points and 13 rebounds. Austen Schwartz also scored in double figures with 18 points. Levi Schwartz and Austen Schwartz had three assists apiece and joined Tanner Schwartz with two steals.

The Braves improved to 14-11 while the No. 10-seeded Trojans ended the season with a 2-24 record.
