Mary Frances Williams, 97, of Park Rapids, passed away peacefully Thursday, May, 30, 2013 at Heritage Cottages in Park Rapids.

Mary was born Feb. 12, 1916 in Webster City, Iowa to Dr. J.E. and Hattie (Smith) Williams. She graduated from Webster City High School and Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa with a degree in nutrition and education.

While in college and later years she was active in the Delta, Delta, Delta sorority. She also taught home economics in Ames, Iowa.

She married Warren Williams in 1940 and they moved to Indianola, Iowa.

In 1955, they moved to Park Rapids where she was a housewife and assisted Warren with their many business ventures.

Mary was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching many sports especially basketball and golf. She had a zest for life that touched many lives of both family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Bonnie dec.); three grandchildren, Richard (Shelly), Dana (Jim), David (Lori); five great-grandchildren, Jarek, Shelby, Alecia, Brandon, and Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren; and brothers Arthur and Fred.

Rememberance gathering: 11 a.m. June 18, at Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Park Rapids.

Inurnment: Graceland Cemetery in Webster City, Iowa at a later date.
