MARY ANN SOLMONSON

Mary Ann Salmonson, 77, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at her home in Menahga with her family at her side.

Mary Ann was born Feb. 4, 1936 in Waupaca County near Marion, Wis. to Carl and Selma (Koepke) Schwan.

She graduated from Marion Public High School in 1953. After high school Mary Ann ventured to Milwaukee, Wis. While in Milwaukee, she met George Salmonson from Minnesota who had just been honorably discharged from the Army.

The couple were married Sept. 4, 1955 in Marion, Wis. This union was blessed with three daughters.

In 1964, they moved near Osage, where they engaged in dairy farming.

She was a longtime and faithful member of the Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church near Wolf Lake, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and organist.

Above all, Mary Ann devoted her life to her husband, her daughters, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren who she loved with all her heart.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, for the past 58 years, George; three daughters, Deborah (Joshua) Aho of Wolf Lake, Rebecca (Terrance) Seaberg of Detroit Lakes and Patricia (Harvey) Aho of Wolf Lake; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church near Wolf Lake with Rev. Dennis Hannu and Rev. Elmer Yliniemi officiating.
