Marvin E. "Bud" Renollet, 72, of Frazee, died on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
Marvin Edward Renollet was born the son of Fred and Ida (Wirth) Renollet on April 14, 1935 in Gorman Township. He attended country school before attending Frazee High School, where he graduated in 1953.
Bud entered the United States Army in October 1955, and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in July 1957. He then returned to the Frazee area, where he married Karen Rader on May 28, 1960 in Corliss Township. They moved to International Falls, Minn., where Bud worked as an assistant manager in a bowling alley. They moved back to the Frazee area, where he farmed and worked as a carpenter for Delbert Drewes Construction.
Bud enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag. He also enjoyed working and the outdoors, along with going to coffee at the café most mornings.
Surviving Bud are his wife, Karen Renollet of Frazee; two sons, Kevin (Quenette) and Clayton (Deb) Renollet, both of Frazee; a daughter, Jean (Marty) Wallace of Frazee; three brothers, Albert Renollet of International Falls, Roy Renollet of Frazee and Cecil "Butch" Renollet of Frazee; a sister, Shirley Melander of Detroit Lakes; as well as five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Melvin.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Frazee, with the Rev. William Aufdenkamp officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee; continuing for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Spruce Grove Cemetery, rural Frazee.
