Marian Ruth Nauss, 85, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at Freedom Pointe Senior Living in Minnetonka.

Marian was born April 12, 1928 in Faribault to Walter F. Wegner and Ruth M. Bremer. She graduated from Faribault High and attended St. John's School for nursing.

She married Lovern "Jerry" Nauss Jan. 19, 1947 in Faribault. The most exciting day of her life was "Jerry" returning home from his European Army service at the end of World War II.

They lived in Faribault, Fulda, Austin and the Minneapolis area; but her favorite place was their lake home in Park Rapids, when their children were young. They also enjoyed their many travels throughout the U.S.

Marian is survived by her loving husband, Lovern "Jerry" of 67 years; four devoted children, LeAnn (Frank) Philbrook of Mayer, Sheri (Dan) Wagner of Park Rapids, Sue (Ron) Bearman of Minnetonka, Barb (Tim) Cole of Plymouth; her cherished sister, Carol Guillebeaux of Calabasas, Calif.; an adored sister-in-law, Lorraine (Maurice) Bosshart of Owatonna, Md.; a "sister" cousin, Elaine Besser of Florida; she absolutely loved her eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and their families.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Charles "Gil" Guillebeaux; and cousin-in-law, Dan Besser.

She was considered "the glue" that held her family together and will be greatly missed, but she left behind many wonderful memories.
