Man sought in high-speed chase that damaged squad car

A driver believed to be from Nevis led Park Rapids police and Hubbard County deputies on chase this morning that reached speeds of 110 mph.

A county squad car was slightly damaged, said Sheriff Cory Aukes.

Park Rapids Police began the pursuit near Century School in a residential neighborhood of Park Rap-ids. It continued into Becker County as Hubbard County deputies joined the pursuit and radioed for assistance from Becker County.

Aukes said the suspect got away in Becker County, but the case is under investigation.
