Man seriously hurt in motorcycle crash near Ulen

A Glyndon man was seriously injured Thursday evening when a deer ran in front of his motorcycle on Highway 32 just south of Ulen.

Kevin N. Veraldrud, 43, was airlifted to Meritcare Hos-pital in Fargo with injuries described by the State Patrol as non life-threatening.

He was wearing a helmet at about 8:30 p.m. when a deer ran out of a ditch as he was southbound. The 1980 Suzuki Roadster motorcycle ended up in the ditch, according to the State Patrol.

The accident occurred on dry blacktop in Clay County. Assisting agencies included the Clay County Sheriff's department, Ulen Rescue and LifeFlight.
