A Park Rapids man pleaded guilty Monday to downloading child pornography last fall.

Officers executed a search warrant in September 2011 at Daniel Richard Moore's Park Rapids home, acting on a tip that arose from a state investigation into Internet activities.

State officers had traced the downloads to Moore's computer, the criminal complaint stated.

Moore, 56, "provided the officers with a CD containing child pornographic images," the complaint indicated.

He pled to a charge of Possession of Child Pornography, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine upon conviction.

Moore was ordered to undergo a Pre-Sentence Investigation with a psychosexual evaluation.

He is set for sentencing Aug. 6 in Hubbard County.

Moore's prior convictions include a DWI in 2006 and a fishing violation in 2009.
