Louise was born July 2, 1931 to William “Nick” Nicholas and Clara (Johnson) Hoff in Clear Lake, S.D. She attended the Clear Lake School and graduated from Goodwin High School with the Class of 1949.

Louise married James Reichling Nov. 13, 1956. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Bill, Mike, Debra, Paul and Wayne.

Louise and Jim decided to make a move to the Park Rapids area in 1958, and raised their family here and continued to watch it grow. Louise loved music she taught and played guitar, piano and accordion.

She also enjoyed working outside of the home as a retail clerk for the National T Grocery Store, Red Owl and Super Valu.

She liked to bowl, play bingo and board games and was a huge Minnesota Twins baseball fan. In her spare time she quilted, baked goodies and especially loved to work in her garden.

Louise had a spice for life; her personality and strength will be long re-membered as it has been passed on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

She will be lovingly re-membered by her husband, Jim of Menahga; children, Bill (Brenda), Mike (Annette), Debra, Paul (Julene) and Wayne (Tracey); grandchildren, Crystal, Eric, Anthony, Tlayne, Lane, Derek, Riley and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Johnathan, DeShawn and Gabino; brother, Bill (Alice) Hoff; four sisters, Jeanette (Alvin) Cook, Darlene (Doug) Sthor, Lois (Dick) Heyn and Anita (Tom) Kranz.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Clara; and sister, Judy.

Funeral service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 27 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
