Logging Days competition winners announced

Legends and Logging Days 2009 welcomed thousands of onlookers thrilled to see the battle of the chainsaw sculptors and giant logs became works of art before their eyes.

Then, the crowd was treated to the skill of world record holding loggers in competition at 11 different challenges.

Here are the results of the competitions:

Logging competition

Springboard chop: Kyle Lemon

Women's underhand chop: Nancy Zalewski

Women's single crosscut: Denise Ott

Men's underhand chop: Kyle Lemon

Men's standing block: Warrick Hallett

Jack and Jill sawing: Mike Sullivan and Nancy Zalewski

Jack and Jill underhand chop: Mike Sullivan and Nancy Zalewski

Men's single crosscut: Mike Sullivan

Hot saw: Mike Sullivan

Axe throw: Gus Carlson
