Letters: Thanks to Leader Dog Baker, teachers

Email

Over three days, April 23-25, the Park Rapids Lions again hosted Leader Dog field representative Bunny Tabatt and her dog Baker for visits to area schools. Bunny visited with students at the six area schools, including PR Century School, and discussed issues surrounding her blindness, handling daily living issues and how Baker assists her in handling those issues.

The Lions and Bunny want to sincerely thank the students and their teachers for being good listeners and for asking great questions. If our reception at these six schools is any indication of how people with differences are going to be treated by this generation of young people, this world will be a much better place. Thank you.

The Leader Dog programs are supported by Lions Clubs across the country and the PR Lions would like to thank all of those persons who came to our fundraiser on April 25th. All profits from this dinner will go to Leader Dogs for the Blind. A very special thank you also goes to Jacque and the staff at the C'Mon Inn for hosting Bunny, Gary and Baker and their continuing support of Leader Dog programs.
