Letters: President's family needs to tighten belt
Wasn't it wonderful to see our president take his family to Paris to celebrate his daughter's 8th birthday. Days filled with sightseeing, dining and shopping.
I wonder how many 8-year-old girls in the U.S. didn't even have an adequate meal those days because their father is out of work.
I guess our government hasn't taken over the women's fashion industry as of yet or possibly they would have shopped at home to help our economy.
The American people have been asked to tighten their belts and prepare for more hard times but obviously this does not apply to the President's family or all of Washington.
