Letters: Great exhibit year at North Country
The North Country Museum of Arts would like to thank everyone who exhibited at our museum this summer.
The Crazy Quilters exhibition of quilts was beautiful. Thanks for bringing this wonderful exhibit to our Park Rapids museum.
People who came to the joint show of Shelia Becker, Kathy Gustafson and Jessica Bauer were impressed with all of the artwork that was exhibited. We appreciate them sharing their outstanding talents with us.
Steve Maanum's pictures and photo graphics of wildlife and nature were breathtaking. Everyone who came enjoyed his presentation and the reception that followed.
The "Snow Country Prison" exhibit told a dark story during WWII. However, the exhibit was very educational and interesting. Many people who came to the exhibit were unaware of the internment camp in Bismark, N.D. We want to thank Matt Wallace from the North Dakota Museum of Art for bringing this exhibit to Park Rapids.
The museum will close Sept. 30 and reopen in the spring of 2010. We had a great variety of exhibitors and exhibitions and we look forward to many great events next year.
Thanks again for a successful 2009.
