WOW, to the members of Hubbard United Methodist Church! The awesome success of your pie sale benefit, in support of the Senior Nutrition program, encourages and lifts our spirits, knowing how this will help ensure the continuation of the congregate meals, diners club and meals on wheels program in Akeley, Lake George, Laporte, Nevis and Park Rapids that we provide. Due to reduced government funding, community support is vital to the continued success of our ability to maintain this service to our aging seniors. Words cannot express our appreciation of the financial support you continue to provide to our LSS Hubbard County Senior Nutrition Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council members serve as volunteers, receiving no compensation, mileage or meal reimbursement. Therefore, 100 percent of these funds go directly toward serving those most in need. We serve because of the people we serve – our senior citizens! Words cannot begin to express our joy and thanksgiving for groups such as you who so faithfully help ensure our mission can continue to a reality in our local communities!
Thank you for putting your faith into action! Matthew 25:35 says, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Thank you all for remembering that what we do for those most in need, we do for the glory of our Savior!
I pray your shining example will inspire others to consider financial support for this service to our communities.
