Letter: Thanks for helping with summer program

We have such a wonderful, giving community! As a result, the children enrolled in Century Adventures (Park Rapids Community Education School-Age Care Program) have learned many new things over the summer.

Thanks to Christine Jessen, from Forest and Floral, who donated seeds and vegetable plants for us to grow in the school Community Garden. Christine also helped us start up our own worm compost bin. Thanks to Jed Nordin, from the Hubbard County Public Works, who brought a plow truck and safety vests. Jed taught us what they do and the importance of safety. Thanks to Park Rapids Public Works for teaching us about how the water tower works. Thanks to the Farmer's Market on 4th Street for teaching us about local growers and what they produce. The Farmer's Market provided cucumbers and supplies to make our own refrigerator pickles. Thanks to the Park Rapids Public Library. We enjoyed many hours utilizing the library reading program and other programs offered by the library. What a wonderful and enriching summer we have had.

Thanks from the Century Adventures staff and students.
