Letter: Thank you for supporting Taste of Christmas fundraiser

heartfelt Thank You goes to everyone that supported our 5th annual Taste of Christmas fundraising event Friday, Dec. 13 at the American Legion. Individuals that supported us through buying baked goods, Hugo’s coupon discount books, donating or bidding on silent auction items, having dinner and/or mailing in a cash donation made this a successful event,

A special thank you is extended to the staff for donating, preparing and serving the dinner. Additionally we wish to thank the volunteer coordinators and drivers from Assembly of God, Calvary Lutheran, Hubbard United Methodist, Riverside Methodist, St. John’s Lutheran and St. Peter’s Catholic churches for delivering meals to our homebound seniors throughout the year.

The senior nutrition program served over 40,000 congregate, diners club and home delivery meals (“Meals on Wheel”) to the seniors of Hubbard county last year. The goal of our program is to help our seniors 60 years or older remain healthy, active and live independent lives within their community.

Your generosity and volunteerism is a vital part of our ability to maintain this important program. Contributions may be made out to Hubbard County Senior Nutrition and mailed to 18831 Eagle View Drive, Park Rapids, 56470.
