Letter: Thank you, Park Rapids!
As we end our third summer season, the Park Rapids Downtown Business Association would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all the businesses and individuals that have made Second Street Stage such a huge community success story.
Thanks to our 2014 Second Street Stage music sponsors: Vision Source Park Rapids and Walker Eye Clinics; Itascatur Ski, Bike and Run Club; Northwoods Bank; Thielen Motors; State Bank; Arvig Communications; Lamb Weston/RDO; David Andersen, DDS; Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council and Smokey Hills Outdoor Store. Thanks also to sponsors of The Bite of Park Rapids – R.D. Offutt Farms and Black Swan Cooperage.
This year we were able to purchase a utility trailer to store our equipment with help from Hugo’s Family Marketplace, Northwoods Bank and the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. What would we do without Donn Hoffman of Hoffman Electric and Mitch Nelson of Northern Pines Sanitary Service who donate their time and resources to keep us safe and clean. Support from the city administration and staff – especially Scott Olson, Rapids Spirits Manager, and Police Chief Terry Eilers – has been tremendous.
And finally, our accomplishments would not be nearly as successful without our members, many others who offer contributions and the more than 25 businesses who at the beginning of each year pledge $1,000 each to provide the start-up monies for Second Street Stage, The Bite, flowers for Main Street, a map for guests highlighting our downtown businesses, a website and webcam of downtown and much more.
Thank you to our entire community for making Second Street Stage the great community gathering that it has become. Many of you have attended every week since we began, many of you have continued to graciously offer financial support and many of you have expressed confidence in us and encouraged us in our efforts. We are grateful, we thank you and we look forward to another season of summer evenings with you on Second Street in 2015.
