Letter: PTA completes label contest
The Century PTA has completed its fall label contest. Members want to thank all the students, teachers, parents, volunteers and community members for taking the time to cut and send in Box Tops and other labels.
A total of $4,420.15 was raised from this fall's label collection. The money received from the Box Tops ($2,528.40) will go to the Century School Media Center. The remaining money will be used to re-stock the well-used school supply closet and provide the two winning classrooms with a pizza party (congratulations to Miss Spahn and Mrs. Friborg's rooms). This was a very successful event and we couldn't do it without all of the wonderful volunteer counters.
There are 42 classrooms that collected and all those labels must be cut, sorted and counted for this school year. That takes a lot of dedicated volunteers (organizers are still looking for a few more). If you'd like to help out with this project contact Jodi Behrens at 237-6360.
Please continue to save those labels because they really add up!
