Letter: Pioneer Park an embarrassment
I am once again having to shake my head and ask what were you thinking Mayor Nancy Caroll and Bill Smith by allowing Pioneer Park to become a 15 foot wide pile of boulders?
The push to turn the park into something it was never meant to be is an embarrassment to all the taxpayers and residents of our area. The original intention when the land was donated to the city was the park would be to honor the founders of Park Rapids. A boulder doesn't cut it and I am sure that when the Governor shows up for the opener you won't find his hind end parked on one of them.
With respect to all,
