Letter: Park Rapids has some great teachers
I wonder sometimes if I'm becoming a "grumpy old woman" but yesterday my heart was warmed and my hopes for our children recovered.
By happenstance, I went to Century School and saw my great-grandson in a wax museum play of the King Tut era. All the children were dressed up in the era.
My mom was a great teacher, many of her former students have relayed to me. She affected their lives. I love teachers. I worry that our education in America is lax. But, after seeing those darling, clever kids dressed up in costume, I know there are great teachers still. It lifted my spirits and made me happy.
