Letter: Meeting to discuss change in government
Do you want changes in government? Do you have a desire to really change something that you know has to be changed? Bring your ideas for bills that you would like to see brought up at the state Legislature to a meeting at the Park Rapids Area Library Monday, April 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the large meeting room.
The bills will be sent to State Rep. Steve Green, Republican-Fosston, and to the Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie. The lawmakers do a number of steps or operations at the State Capital where representatives and senators work with others to turn ideas into laws. Much of the work takes place during a Legislative session. In Minnesota, the state works on a biennium budget, which spans over two years. For example, the years 2012 and 2013 are considered one biennium. Within the biennium, many bills are considered - maybe mine or your's.
You have a chance to make a difference. All are invited to join the Freedom Liberty Alliance Group, PO Box 844, Park Rapids, MN 56470.
