Letter: An honor to coach Nevis Tigers
When I look back on my life, I see many tears of joy and sadness, for which I am very thankful. When I look back at what I have accomplished... much has been survival! The one thing that grounded me the most was volleyball! It gave me a purpose and made me smile.
On Nov. 16, 2012 I handed my letter of resignation as head volleyball coach of the Nevis Tigers to Bryan Wormley, a moment I will never forget. To see all the athletes go through my program, and knowing that I had a part in having helped them build a sense of honor and commitment to something great, will be the highlight of my days on this earth!
I write this letter to those who have given to this program and in support of what we have accomplished as a community. To many people, (you know who you are), to parents, to the businesses, to the press ... we believe we made a difference. And to you all I am very grateful. You will be in my heart forever. What a blessing to be a part of this community and Nevis High School. Thank you and I have been honored to be your coach!
