Century Elementary students celebrated the opening of the Winter Olympics with their own rendition of the ceremony in Vancouver. Each of the classes represented a country. Alyssa LaVoie's kindergartners, representing Greece, led the way. The students were reminded the tradition of the torch began with the 1936 world games, linking the ancient to modern.
