If you’re in the 26-64 age group, and are in need of health insurance, keep reading! If you’re older, keep reading. You may be asked for advice from the rest of us!
MNsure is live, functioning, and successfully helping people seeking insurance coverage through the new health insurance exchange in the state of Minnesota. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and going until 7 p.m., at the Community Room at Northwoods Bank in Park Rapids, you will have the opportunity to hear from local advisors about how to navigate MNsure to your best advantage. Following their presentations, the presenters will hold individual and small group consultations. The program is free and open to the public; light refreshments will also be served. Best of all, your questions will be answered!
Presenters will be Leah Pigatti, of MAHUBE-OTWA Community Council; Tina Johanning, Eligibility Worker for Hubbard County Social Services; Tammy Ovsak, Park Rapids insurance agent; and Kitra Nelson, MNsure Community Outreach Liaison.
Kitra Nelson brings to MNsure over eight years of experience working in community outreach and community services. Ms. Nelson has worked in the areas of university research, tribal programs on the Lake Traverse Reservation, county social services, crisis services and most recently in nonprofit management. Kitra received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University in Fargo with majors in Sociology and Women’s Studies; and minors in Psychology, Gerontology and Child Development & Family Science.
The MNsure program on Tuesday, Nov. 5, is an outreach of the Park Rapids Area League of Women Voters. A volunteer-driven, grass-roots organization seeking to raise awareness on political issues, the League of Women Voters never supports or endorses candidates or political parties. Positions are arrived at through member study and consensus.
Membership in the League is open to all. For more information contact President Carolynne White, Park Rapids Area League of Women Voters, at email@example.com.
Again, this program is a great opportunity to have all of those questions answered about MNsure. Please join us on Nov. 5, at the Northwoods Bank Community Room.
