Laporte woman uninjured in rollover
A Laporte woman was uninjured Saturday afternoon after totaling her car in a rollover, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Witnesses told officers that Laporte, Minn., native Carolyn M. Halvorson, 20, was east-bound on U.S. Highway 2 in her 1997 Chevy when the left rear wheel began to wobble. Halvorson lost control and went off the road to the right near 15th Street in Bemidji, and rolled her vehicle at 2:44 p.m.
She complained of soreness after the accident and was examined by an ambulance crew, but was not taken to a hospital. Halvorson was wearing a seat belt.
Her car was severely damaged, according to the patrol.
