A pair of baskets off rebounds by Luke Morgan and 3-pointers by Kirk McLeod and Joe Mollberg gave Detroit Lakes a 16-0 lead with 12:34 to play in the first half.

Ryan Peterson ended that run with a 3-pointer before a jumper by Kyle Goplerud, a basket off a rebound by Scott Wolff, a 3-pointer by Mason Long, two free throws by Tyler Ridlon and a basket off a rebound by Andy Waller pulled the Panthers to within 25-14 at the 6:41 mark.

Jumpers by Waller and Wolff, a 3-pointer by Tyler McCollum and a jumper by Goplerud kept Park Rapids within 35-23 with 1:47 to play in the first half before the Lakers used a 3-pointer by Rick Hutchinson to build a 42-23 advantage. A jumper by Ridlon before the buzzer made it 42-25.

Another 3-pointer by Hutchinson pushed the Lakers' lead to 49-25 with 16:16 to play. After two inside baskets by Goplerud made it 51-29 at the 13:13 mark, another 3-ponter by Hutchinson sparked an 11-0 run as the Lakers led 62-29 with 10:19 remaining.

Park Rapids matched the Lakers the rest of the way behind a layup by Tanner Otterness, a 3-poitner and a jumper by McCollum, a 3-pointer by John Massie and a layup by Jordan Bergquist.
