Lakers post 7-0 win in Panthers’ home debut
After having the first four home meets rained out, the Park Rapids boys tennis team finally made its home debut Thursday afternoon.
Detroit Lakes spoiled the Panthers’ home opener by winning all seven matches in straight sets in a 7-0 Mid-State Conference victory at the Depot Courts.
Alex Boyd and Marcus McKeever pushed the Lakers’ No. 3 doubles team in a 7-5, 6-1 loss while Nick Lopez dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision at No. 2 singles to lead the Panthers.
The loss dropped the Panthers to 0-4 in dual meets.

No. 2 singles: Caleb Howard, DL, over Nick Lopez 6-3, 6-0.

No. 4 singles: Austin Nelson, DL, over Tristan Hendrickson 6-0, 6-1.
No. 1 doubles: Dylan Bremseth/Brady Crawford, DL, over Jackson Kimball/Jaden Olson 6-1, 6-1.
No. 2 doubles: Luke Eggebraaten/Colton Friesen, DL, over Iain Wallace/Nick Porozinski 6-1, 6-1.
No. 3 doubles: Jon Richards/Michael Herman, DL, over Alex Boyd/Marcus McKeever 7-5, 6-1.
