Registrations are being accepted for the second annual Lakes to Pines Triathlon, which will be held Saturday, May 16.
The Lakes to Pines Triathlon consists of a 500-yard swim at the Park Rapids Area High School pool, a 14.7-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run finishing at the Park Rapids Area High School track. The race begins at 9 a.m.
Participants can compete either individually or as part of a team. The cost is $50 per individual or $90 for a team. Registration is limited to the first 100 entrants.
All finishers will receive a medal and T-shirt. Special awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers in each age division and top finishers in the team relay divisions.
There will also be a kids triathlon race, which will be held after the completion of the triathlon. The kids triathlon consists of a 50-yard swim, a 1-mile bike ride and a 300-yard run. The cost for the kids race is $10.
The triathlon benefits the Little Panther swim program and the Park Rapids Area High School boys and girls swim programs.
