Lake Itasca Pioneer Farmers will host 39th reunion Aug. 15-17
The Lake Itasca Pioneer Farmers host the 39th annual three-day reunion/show Aug. 15-17 on its show grounds located adjacent to the north side of Itasca State Park on Minnesota Highway 200.
Incorporated in 1976, the LIRPF is dedicated to the preservation and display of historic, rural/logging related Americana for the cultural, educational, entertainment and heritage-related benefits of the public.
During the show, there will be many attractions including logging/lumbering pageantry, sawmill operation, blacksmitting, broom/bird house and sign making, threshing and parades.
Displays include a 100-year-old rural schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, log house, church, store, post office and more.
Friday supper is at 5 p.m., along with a country gospel music show. The Pioneer king and queen coronation is also Friday night.
Saturday, breakfast is served at 7 a.m., the kid’s pedal tractor pull is at approximately 2 p.m. and the country/old time music show is at 5 p.m. Supper is also served at 5 p.m.
Sunday, breakfast is from 6:30-8:30 a.m. with a worship service at 9. An old time tractor pull follows the parade.
